3,000 Bags of Oyster Shells Collected for Restoration

In August, the GSI team made two trips to the Florida Oceanographic Society (FOS) to collect approximately 3,000 bags of recycled oyster shells. FOS sourced the shells from local restaurants as part of their Florida Oceanographic Oyster Restoration (FLOOR) Program. GSI is grateful for this collaboration with FOS and excited to utilize the shell for future research and restoration efforts.
