Your tax-deductible donation will support GSI's applied mission of shellfish aquaculture research, restoration, and outreach.

How does it work?

Your contribution allows us to:

  1. Conduct field and laboratory experiments relevant to shellfish production.

  2. Purchase aquacultured bivalves, oyster shell, and seagrass for restoration projects.

  3. Pay farmers and staff to monitor outcomes of shellfish restoration.

  4. Build and deploy vertical oyster gardens for community residents.

  5. Support volunteers and pay undergraduate student interns to learn how to do scientific research.

  6. Organize and participate in outreach events and scientific conferences.

  7. Publish scientific findings in peer-reviewed journals.
